about

Moksha Music, Galactic Crew, and [fractalterraists] are pleased to announce the debut album of Oklahoma-based artist: moondoggy
'why Coyote-Boy cries to the moon'

Incorporating influences from forest, dark, neuro, and suomisaundi styles of psytrance with traditional Indigenous American themes and motifs; moondoggy explores a unique balance of psychedelic headspace and explosive dancefloor energy with the intention of sharing the experience of ontologically understanding the scope of trancedance rituals.

While often amalgamated to fit into a "trickster god" archetype; Coyote represented a powerful, archaic source of chaos magic for many Native American tribes, particularly in the southwest. Not to be invoked lightly, Coyote was both a healer and a destroyer. 'why Coyote-Boy cries to the moon' is my interpretation of the role of Coyote-magic told through the contemporary medium of psychedelic trance music.
